Four acres of high-water-use turf grass has been replaced with native grasses and plants that are now establishing roots.

Deconstruction of the previous playground and courts has begun! Major earthwork, infrastructure, irrigation, water, subsurface drainage, landscape, and new playground & tennis courts to follow.

Wildlife Closure at Westminster Hills Open Space (https://t.e2ma.net/click/qkd13n/ujf5kpcc/i6gs9mb)


(https://t.e2ma.net/click/qkd13n/ujf5kpcc/yyhs9mb)As part of the City's regular wildlife surveys of open space, a pair of Burrowing Owls exhibiting nesting behavior has been identified in the Westminster Hills Open Space Dog Off-Leash Natural Area. This seasonal closure for wildlife protection will limit access to several social trails off of the Yucca Loop.
